The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is sponsoring its 12th annual London Theatre Tour, visiting the capital of the English-speaking theatre world from November 5 to 14, 2013.

An informational reception will be held in the Weston Playhouse living room on Wednesday, July 3 at 4:30pm; the registration deadline for the trip is August 5.

Weston Producing Director Steve Stettler and London Tour Director Giles Ramsay who lead the tour will host the July 3 reception, reviewing the itinerary and answering questions. Tour members will spend 9 nights at The Montague on the Gardens, a 4-star boutique hotel in a row of restored Georgian townhouses adjacent to the British Museum. The package includes 6 plays, a concert, special meals, a series of lectures and discussions, and plenty of free time to enjoy the city.

"When we began these tours we had no idea they would be so popular," comments Stettler. "The group itself is always fun and stimulating, and many participants repeat year after year. November is a perfect time to visit London, as the weather is temperate and we can enjoy the shows opening in anticipation of the holidays while avoiding the crowds to come."

A group of about 20 will enjoy London's latest hits and most acclaimed new productions. The offerings for 2013 include James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, a BBC Orchestra concert of Sondheim music under the baton of Keith Lockhart, and plays and musicals from the Almeida, The National Theatre, the Young Vic, and London's West End. Tour members meet with actors and other artists, top journalists and London critics.

Giles Ramsay, who has led custom tours for the Manhattan Theatre Club and the BSO, has designed every Weston Playhouse Tour. Participants receive scripts and welcome packets with recommendations of additional plays, concerts and exhibitions. The tour price includes luxury accommodations, many meals, all performances, discussions and visits, ground transportation and a tax-deductible contribution to the theatre company. A group flight is recommended and will be met by the tour leaders.
