An intense and astounding live performer, Evelyn Glennie is master of more than 1,000 percussion instruments from around the world and has performed with countless artists ranging from Japan's Kodo drummers to Björk. Profoundly deaf since the age of 12, the percussionist identifies notes by vibrations she feels through her feet and body, "moving from station to station with the litheness of a dancer" (New Zealand Herald). Glennie concludes her time spent working with Vermont's Community Engagement Lab (CEL) with this performance, as she performs both solo and with the musicians of the CEL Orchestra.
