Join two celebrated operatic voices for a special evening of song at the Dorset Theatre Festival for One Night Only on Sunday, August 9 at 8pm. Lauded for her "graceful agility, rising to shining high notes," Nili Riemer most recently returned to Oper Leipzig and Saarlaendsiches Staatstheater for the role of Queen of the Night. Born in Israel and now based in Germany, she earned a Master of Music degree from SUNY Binghamton after graduating from the dual degree program at the New England Conservatory of Music and Tufts University. She made her New York City Opera debut in 2013 and has previously joined opera houses across the US including Seattle Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Minnesota Opera and MN Orchestra.

Renée Tatum, noted for her "commanding and dramatic presence" opened the 2014-15 season with a return to the Metropolitan Opera as the Second Lady in Julie Taymor's production of Die Zauberflöte. She studied at New York's Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard before embarking on her professional career which included a three-year stint in the Met's Lindemann Young Artist program and a turn in the New York Philharmonic's 2010 Le Grand Macabre in which she sang Amando. After her performance at Dorset Theatre Festival, she will be joining the Boston Symphony Orchestra for a weekend of performances at Tanglewood.

The singers are joined by pianist Jody Schum who was previously a coach and pianist at the City Center Opera Center, and received his Master of Music at SUNY Binghamton in piano performance and collaborative piano.

A Night at the Opera: From Carmen to Candide promises to be an exciting evening of classical and musical theatre favorites.
