On September 6th at 7:30 pm, Dorset Theatre Festival will host Ben Taylor in concert with local favorites Bob Stannard and Rick Redington to benefit the DTF Giving Back Program, a program by which DTF is committed to providing free tickets to those who serve our community.

The Giving Back Program, now in its fifth year, provides free tickets to Police Officers, Firefighters, EMS workers, Military Service Members, Veterans, local farmers, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, Refuse to Use graduates, and the special needs community, as well as two for one tickets for teachers and free tickets to children 12 and under to each of our productions, all summer long.

Ben Taylor, the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon, is a singer-songwriter who merges the sounds and styles of folk, pop, soul, urban, reggae and country/western. His music runs the gamut from sonically spacious acoustic numbers to multi-layered vocals and fresh beats. Local audiences will be familiar with Bob Stannard and Rick Redington, who also performed in last summer's Giving Back concert "The Last Waltz Live".

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at www.dorsettheatrefestival.org or by calling the box office at 802 867 2223. The concert is Saturday, September 6th at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30, with a cash bar provided by Mio Bistro and the Hound Dog food truck standing by to provide food. Proceeds from tickets will go directly to the DTF Giving Back Program. The concert is sponsored by TPW, HN Williams, Battenkill Technologies, Vermont Country Store, Southview Arts, Orvis, and Covey & Nye.
