It's a show that brings unexpected surprises. It's a show full of jazz, pop, musical theater, dance, duets, and more. It's a show that you can only see at Town Hall Theater. It's a show that puts friends and neighbors up on stage and lets them shine. It's a show that can't be missed; it's Middlebury's Got Talent! of course.

The all-star line-up for the 7th Annual Middlebury's Got Talent! takes the stage at Town Hall Theater tonight, August 30 at 8pm, and Sunday, August 31 at 2pm.

Emceed by Town Hall Theater executive director Doug Anderson, this night will prove to be one of a kind. The list of talent includes singers Matt Bouvier, Tony Cacciatore, Lydia Deppman, Emma Gardner & Bailey Sherwin, Brennan Gervia, Leigh Guptill, Lily Isham, and Isabel Rosenberg. Karen Amirault's Hip Hop and Broadway Dancers will also take the stage, and The Chubby Chucklers, a very young and very good jazz band, will make a special appearance. "I'm always in awe of the talent that shows up for the auditions," says Doug Anderson, "This year, in addition to the singers and dancers, we also have a belly dancer and a jumper roper who will both blow your minds."

Chuck Miller will return as leader of the THT house band, backing up the singers, and keeping the audience electrified. The competition will be judged by and in-house clap-o-meter and there are two very special prizes for the winner and runner up. "This show is never about the competition," explains Doug Anderson, "It's about watching friends, neighbors, and community members have their star moment. It always ends up being my favorite event of the year."

MIDDLEBURY'S GOT TALENT will be performed twice: Saturday, August 30, at 8 pm, and Sunday, August 31 at 2 pm. Tickets are only $10, and may be purchased at www.townhalltheater.com, 802 382-9222, at the THT box office, or at the door.
