Treehouse Theatre at Pinetree Secondary School presents a one-night-only evening featuring Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years.
The Last Five Years follows the relationship and marriage of Jamie Wellerstein and Cathy Hiatt through two opposing timelines. Jamie begins when the couple first meets and moves forward toward their separation, while Cathy begins at the end of the relationship and travels backward toward its hopeful beginning. Their stories meet only once, at their wedding.
Recent CTORA Canada Young Theatre Award recipients and BC Performing Arts Provincials for Musical Theatre nominees Justin Luo and Chiara Go star as Jamie and Cathy. Chiara also directs the production as her Grade 12 Independent Directed Study project while performing Cathy.
