Celebrate Canada Day at one of Greater Victoria’s favourite community traditions! The Gorge Canada Day Picnic returns on July 1 along the beautiful Gorge Waterway, transforming Gorge Road West into a vibrant, traffic-free festival filled with family fun, live entertainment, local food, and community spirit. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between Tillicum Road and Admirals Road and is FREE to attend.
Enjoy a full day of activities, including the Canada Day Family Parade, Pancake Breakfast, Classic Car Show, Kids Zone, Strawberry Tea, Voyageur Canoe Rides, live music, community displays, and a bustling market featuring 65+ vendors. With food trucks, entertainment, and attractions spread along the scenic waterfront, there’s something for every age to enjoy.
The Gorge Canada Day Picnic is organized by the Gorge Tillicum Community Association and attracts thousands of visitors each year to celebrate community, culture, and Canada Day together.
