The My Ocean Collective is proud to present the world premiere of My Ocean by Sasha Singer-Wilson at the 2016 Vancouver Fringe Festival from September 9-17.

Twelve-year old environmentalist Lenny has his lucky pouch around his neck, and the eczema behind his knees is hardly even itchy. He is more ready than ever for his Speakers League presentation on Sea Turtles! Part way through, Lenny can't help but reveal the dramatic events leading up to today. The speech derails and the line between Lenny's past and present blurs before our eyes.

Written by Sasha Singer-Wilson (little tongues at the Toronto Fringe (Critic's Pick, NOW Magazine), previous member of the Soulpepper Playwright's Circle), and directed by Ulla Laidlaw (Trainspotting at Rumble Theatre, The Drowning Girls at Pacific Theatre), My Ocean features a rising star in the Vancouver theatre community, Nadeem Phillip (Rumble Theatre's Cock, Neworld's Doost, Delinquent Theatre's Never The Last). My Ocean is about broken homes, finding hope in our uncertain future, and if it's possible to find forgiveness.
