Thylacine – Roads Vol. 3 at Koko

An innovative producer whose work bridges the realms of electronica and classical music, Thylacine is an artist with curiosity in his veins and emotion at his core. Following albums inspired by journeys on the Trans-Siberian Railway, the roads of the Andes and the Faroe Islands, and through Turkey, he now returns with ROADS Vol. 3, an album written out in the world, created in his 1972 Airstream caravan converted into a mobile studio.

After months travelling across Namibia, Thylacine transforms deserts, coasts, mountains, and villages into a rich sonic tapestry, blending electronica with ambient textures, organic percussion, and field recordings. ROADS Vol. 3 captures the voices, rhythms, and stories of the people he met along the way—from the Himba and Mafwe communities to choirs in small villages, creating a musical diary of encounters, landscapes, and reflections.
