The Tricycle Theatre is hosting a special fundraising performance of the critically acclaimed production of Red Velvet tonight, 24 November. This gives ticket buyers an opportunity to attend the sell out show and a pre show reception with the writer and director while supporting the future work of the Tricycle Theatre.

Indhu Rubasingham said "We're absolutely delighted that Red Velvet has been so popular, and particularly honoured that it's been nominated for two Evening Standard Awards. But in order to ensure that we can continue to produce this kind of work here at the Tricycle, we have to raise over £750,000 per year. For this reason, we have set aside an allocation of fundraising tickets as a special celebration of the last night of the production. As well as a ticket to the show guests are invited to a pre-show champagne reception with Lolita Chakrabarti, the playwright, and me; and will receive a complimentary glass of wine at the interval and a script signed by Lolita.

"If you feel able to support our ambitious artistic programme and CreativeLearning projects with young people in the local community by buying a special fundraising ticket priced at £100, we'd be delighted to welcome you to our theatre on the 24th November."
