The Curious Room revives Royal Court drama Mr Kolpert at the King's Head Theatre, tonight, July 15 to August 5, 2012.

Life is going right over Ralph & Sarah’s heads. They invite a couple of friends round in order to relieve their boredom. To get the party started Ralph jokes that the conspicuous trunk in the middle of their lounge contains a dead body - the dead body of their work colleague Mr Kolpert. Are they heartless jokers or ruthless killers?

With echoes of Alan Aykbourn and Shallow Grave, Mr Kolpert, David Gieselmann, translated by David Tushingham, was first performed in the UK at The Royal Court Theatre in 2000. This relevant, exciting and at times violent play is ripe for a revival by theatre collective The Curious Room.

Mr. Kolpert by David Gieselmann, translated by David Tushingham, is directed by Rachel Valentine-Smith with musical direction by Tom Whitelaw and designs by Paddy Malloy. The cast features Edward Fulton, Kate Sawyer, Damian Lynch, Laura Freeman and David Eaton.

Mr Kolpert plays on Sundays and Mondays in a 4-week season at the King’s Head Theatre from tonight, July 15 - August 5. Press night is Monday July 16 at 7.15pm

The Curious Room are a theatre collective based in London. Established in January 2007, the prime aim of the company is to work as a co-operative giving the people involved in the creative process as much credit and input as those who eventually present the piece of theatre to an audience. This ethos provides a forum in which a network of artists of different disciplines can experiment, create and expand culminating in mixed media performance.

King’s Head Theatre is located at 115 Upper Street, London, N1 1QN. Tickets from £10.00. Visit www.kingsheadtheatre.com or phone the box office at 020 7478 0160.
