Japanese taiko drumming company KODO returns to the UK this month for its 35th anniversary with a new show, MYSTERY, a dramatic mix of storytelling, music, dance and drama designed to reflect the beauty and mystery of Japanese traditions throughout the ages. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the company onstage below!

MYSTERY, the second touring work to be directed by the company's Artistic Director, the celebrated Kabuki actor Tamasaburo Bando, began at the Barbican last night, February 15th.

Bryn Ormrod, Creative Producer at the Barbican, said: "We are delighted to welcome the mighty KODO drummers back to the Barbican for the first time in ten years. Kodo always provide a thrilling show for our audiences and we are confident 'Mystery' will be another big hit. At the Barbican we are proud to stage music productions from all over the world and we're very much looking forward to Kodo being with us again."
