Pauline Quirke's London Academy Announces CHRISTMAS CRACKERS Featuring Bree Smith
The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, in London, is proud to announce its Christmas show, which will be performed by their very first cohort of full-time students, along with West End star, and PQ Full-Time Academy teacher, Bree Smith, with support from the PQA Islington (weekend school) children's choir.
Christmas Crackers, on Saturday 15th December, at 7pm, at the Crypt on the Green Clerkenwell Close, promises to be an evening of musical theatre and festive classics.
The students at the Pauline Quirke Full-Time Academy, which is a stone's throw from King's Cross station at PQA Studios (the old Poor School), are the first to train at this new academy, opened by the Birds of a Feather actress in September.
The academy offers Diploma level training in Performing Arts. Students train in the completely renovated building, which now has a fully equipped in-house theatre and several large, high spec studio spaces.
They will be joined on stage by Bree Smith, known for her starring roles in Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales theatre) and the Wonderland UK tour. Bree is one of the many professional performers who teaches at the academy.
Adam Davenport, Artistic Director of the academy, says:
"We've come to the end of a wonderful, exhilarating and hugely satisfying first term at the Pauline Quirke Full-Time Academy in London, and there is no better way for our students to celebrate than to perform. This will be a magical Christmas show, in a beautiful space, showcasing the considerable talent of our first cohort of students."
The next audition day for entry in September 2019 is Thursday 21st February. Applicants must have 4 GCSEs (grade A* - C), and the audition workshop takes a full day.
