Following a successful run at the Arcola Tent in Dalston this summer, the producers of Penny Arcade's B!D!F!W! (Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore!) are thrilled to announce a new collaboration with The Old Vic Tunnels, where the show will run for 18 performances only from tonight, 8 August – 1 September 2012 with a press night on 10 August.

Penny Arcade is an international performance legend, former Warhol Superstar, cultural icon of the New York Underground, and the woman Quentin Crisp chose as his Anima Figure and Soul Mate. Her international hit B!D!F!W! comes out of New York's downtown art scene. A passionate and humorous celebration of sex, freedom, comedy, politics and art; heartfelt monologues performed by Penny Arcade are punctuated with an uplifting audience dance break and male and female erotic go-go dancing to create a freedom of speech anthem and political provocation for our times.

Producer Jeremy Goldstein said, "London audiences and critics alike have embraced the show's joyful message of love and tolerance. Together with Time Out Live we have brought together an exceptional company and are incredibly excited and proud to be able to bring it to London's leading underground arts venue!"

Hamish Jenkinson, Director of The Old Vic Tunnels said, "Penny Arcade's request that we 'adore and endure each other' is a message that needs to be shouted from the rooftops, so we're incredibly excited to welcome this show to The Old Vic Tunnels."

The show will run at The Old Vic Tunnels tonight, 8 August – 1 September 2012, 7pm, Wednesdays – Sundays only. Pre-show erotic dancing and drinks from 7.00pm for 7:30pm start. The Old Vic Tunnels are located at Leake Street, SE1 8SW.

Tickets: £15 (includes £1 restoration levy). VIPS: £25 (includes £1 restoration levy) – includes table seating by the stage and complimentary drink. To purchase, visit www.oldvictunnels.com or call 0844 871 7628.

Penny Arcade climbed out of her bedroom window at age thirteen to join the fabulously disenfranchised worlds of queers, junkies, whores, stars and geniuses. By the age of 20 she had become a darling of Andy Warhol's Factory and is now, still, one of the most influential performers in the world. 'An Englishman in New York' Quentin Crisp chose Penny Arcade as the woman he most identified with, and she was portrayed on screen by 'Sex and the City's' Cynthia Nixon alongside John Hurt.

When first produced in New York BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE! was a run away success, propelling the anarchic into the mainstream and wowing critics along the way. In New York the show featured guest performers including Quentin Crisp, Marianne Faithfull and Jeff Buckley. Since then, the show has gone on to be an international hit in 25 cities, kicking off the 'neo-burlesque' movement, and picking up a loyal fan base including Joan Rivers, The Edge, and John Waters.

Originally created as a brilliant retort to censorship in the arts, and now celebrating its official 20th anniversary, BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE! retains much of its satirical impetus and political clout, never more so than in a climate where debates over government funding cuts, gay marriage, sexual freedom and reproductive rights rage on both sides of the Atlantic.

Hidden beneath Waterloo Station lies 30,000 square feet of unused railway vaults, a labyrinth of mystical tunnels. Fast becoming London's leading underground Arts venue, The Old Vic Tunnels has seen indie phenomenon Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros create 5 nights of the Wild West on Mars; the legendary New York Dolls perform; a 5 day festival of comedy and improvisation; a season with the decadent Boom Boom Club, a summer term from the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain; Universal's Yellow Lounge and a Michelin Star pop-up restaurant. There is an Underground Artist scheme with a resident Photographer, Graffiti Artist, Designer and soon Filmmaker and DJ. Veuve Clicquot recently sponsored the build of a brand new piano bar which can be found outside The Screening Room, and Bloomberg continues to provide support as The Old Vic Tunnels Volunteers Partner. Recent productions include a Summer Fundraiser starring the one and only Tom Jones and a co-production with Everyman Cinemas where the tunnels were transformed into an immersive cinematic experience screening Saturday Night Fever. The Old Vic Tunnels is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Old Vic Theatre Trust.
