Organised Chaos Productions Presents Peacefully At Home

By:

Award winning Organised Chaos Productions premiere another production you won't want to miss. Is any family gathering ever truly peaceful? a theme explored in Peacefully At Home, written by Nicola Schofield.

Following up on a very successful first year, Organised Chaos Productions, return to Taurus Bar with another theatrical premiere. Last year saw four new plays debut in Manchester with subsequent performances at the Write Now Festival (Liverpool), Buxton Fringe Festival, Preston Tringe Festival and New Wimbledon Theatre, London. The year culminated with a production of Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell which gained rave reviews, including 5 stars from Remotegoat, winning the Studio Salford awards for Best Production and Best Set Design.

In Peacefully At Home an unseen Dad drifts away upstairs, and Bridget and her grown up children gather for their last respects. As long held secrets threaten to be revealed, and new ones vie to be created, tensions crackle below the surface. Dad might be leaving peacefully, but will he be taking peace away with him?

Nicola Schofield won the 2004 Royal Exchange Theatre WRITE 2 Bruntwood Playwright competition with Maybe Tomorrow, which was staged in the Royal Exchange Studio and nominated for Best New Play at the Manchester Evening News Awards.

Joan McGee, who plays Bridget, joins the production having recently been seen in ‘The Water Still Remains' at The Lowry; Lee Joseph, as Chris, joins Organised Chaos again from their production of ‘Joy With Child'; Chris Brett, as James, has many credits to his name and most notably was a regular cast member in the BBC3 ‘Scallywaga'. Laura Littlewood makes her stage debut in the role of Sarah and Sheila Jones, as Una, makes her UK debut having been in a number of plays in New York.

Recent graduate Emma Hatcher directs the play rejoining Organised Chaos having stage managed their production of ‘Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell'. Also on the production team are Jonathan Ingham as Set Designer and Amanda Blewitt as Stage Manager.

Gayle Hare, Producer, said "In this production of ‘Peacefully At Home' audiences can expect to see some amazing undiscovered and emerging talent shine both on stage and off"

Buxton Fringe Review for ‘The Benefit of Time': "If this play is going to be the standard they achieve in future, the North West is in for some real treats."

Remotegoat Review for ‘Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell': " ***** - Organised Chaos Productions have produced an excellent version of a twenty-one year-old play that wrings laughter and warmth from a simple well-written concept"

Peacefully At Home will be presented at Taurus Bar (Canal Street, Manchester) from 6th to 9th April at 8pm (7pm on the 7th). Tickets are on sale at £7.50 (£5.50 concession) through www.organisedchaosproductions.co.uk.

Organised Chaos Productions aims to find and nurture undiscovered and emerging talent in the North West providing platforms for this creativity by successfully taking care of all the production technicalities.
