Following enormously successful seasons at the Edinburgh Festival and the Barbican, Christopher Green and Ursula Martinez bring their site specific interactive Office Party to London this autumn.

In the function rooms of a sad and tawdry office block a group of office workers are preparing for the annual Office Party. The managing director is running through the gags for his speech while having a few too many drinks, and the marketing department are in a huddle by the bar. Anything could happen, and it probably will.

Renowned for their work as theatrical innovators Ursula Martinez and Christopher Green have collaborated on many productions as Artistic Associates of Duckie, including the Olivier Award winning C'est Barbican!
Ursula Martinez is a writer, performer and cabaret icon. She has created several autobiographical theatre shows including the internationally acclaimed A Family Outing starring herself and her parents, and most recently My Stories, Your Emails, commissioned by the Barbican. Martinez is an original cast member of the circus phenomena La Clique and La Soiree, and is probably most widely known for her magic striptease cabaret act Hanky Panky. She recently directed Victoria Melody in Northern Soul which premiered at The Brighton International Festival.
Christopher Green is a character comedian and Radio 4 favourite as country singer Tina C. and rapping pensioner Ida Barr, amongst others. He notably won much critical acclaim for his Radio 4 project with Frida from Abba, Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. His other experiential projects where the audience are the show are VIP, Working Man's Club and The Razzle 1961, and he has just directed the new Spymonkey show, Love In which won the Latest Award for Best Comedy at the Brighton Festival 2011.

The cast features the cream of comedy actors and improvisers. Previous performers include stand-up Glenn Wool, Janice Connolly (Mrs Barbara Nice), Petra Massey (Spymonkey), Amanda Haddingue (RSC), Matthew Baynton (Horrible Histories, Horne & Corden). The show was originally directed and co-written with Cal McCrystal, who is currently associate director on One Man Two Guvnors with Nicholas Hytner at the National, and has previously worked with Cirque du Soleil, Mighty Boosh and Sasha Baron Cohen.

Office Party is theatre at its most experimental. It incorporates office politics and sharp insights into the world of the workplace all played out during the slightly shambolic, riotous night of the annual staff jamboree. As it arrives, the audience is invited to become the employees of the fictitious company. They become complicit in the goings on as the night unfolds, divided into staff teams, rivalries and tensions come to the fore in truly hilarious fashion. Get involved, or simply observe - the choice is yours.

Opening night will be held on October 13th at 7.45pm
