The Tell Theatre Company has announced they will present BUD, a bravura one-man comedy by acclaimed Cornish writer Nick Darke, from 17 June to 8 July, 2012, at the Kings Head Theatre, London. Directed by Penny Cliff, the production will star Neil Sheffield.

Love, land, collateral... and tumble dryers.

Bud loves Myrna – or does he? When Bud, aged 50, racks his troubled brains over the “l’il acid drops scorchin’ holes in the startched napkin of our marriage”, a torrent of surreal anecdotes, touching memories and ever-increasing anxiety builds to a shocking climax.

Bud charts Bud’s turbulent marital journey - from “cold-blooded proposition to passionate love affair” and beyond - with wit, wildness and hilarity.

The show features design by Jessica Maliphant, music by John Browne and is produced by Sejul Malde.

Performances are Sunday June 17 at 7.15pm (Preview), Monday June 18 at 7.15pm (Opening), Sunday June 24 at 7.15pm, Monday June 25 at 7.15pm, Sunday July 1 at 7.15pm, Monday July 2 at 7.15pm, Sunday July 8 at 3.00pm, and Sunday July 8 at 7.15pm at The King’s Head Theatre, 115 Upper Street, London, N1 1QN.
