The dynamic N10 Productions return for the second time to The Arcola Theatre following their 5-star 2010 Edinburgh Fringe sell-out transfer of Virtuous Flock. N10 Productions' exciting and energetic young cast will again wow audiences with their enchanting and original musical adaptation of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Artistic Director Lauren Overs is thrilled by the exceptional talent of the company: "The ensemble has written a fresh and relevant version of this well-loved book and the piece is enhanced by delightfully lyrical melodies".
Chaucer: Hold Up Your Tale is a touching story that follows a feuding family on their emotional journey to seek solace and harmony. The timeless tales of the Prioress, Pardoner, Franklin and Knight are interwoven through live music, movement, puppetry and song. Superb storytelling restores the spirit of this broken family and will grip your imagination as the yarns beautifully entwine.
N10 Productions was formed by Producer/Director Lauren Overs and is based in London's N10 (Muswell Hill). The company are committed to developing a wide range of theatrical experiences from devised and physical theatre to dynamic original reinterpretations of classic texts. Combining innovative movement alongside original live music, N10 aspire to create high energy ensemble performances that excite and entertain.
"A treat for the ears as well as the eyes... it left me quite entranced. It has a kind of artistic elegance that Fringe theatre often aspires to but very rarely achieves." (Fringe Guru)
"A fresh take on this masterpiece of English literature by turning some of it into song, with a delightful singer-songwriter feel." (Broadway Baby)
"Totally Charming... enjoyable experience." (Audience Review: Richard Collard)
"Well acted and engaging production." (Audience Review: Zoe Kidd)
