Lisa Faye's STREISAND - THE MAIN EVENT Plays Brighton Fringe 2013, May 5 & 19

Streisand - The Main Event comes to Latest Music Bar tonight 5 & 19 May 2013 as part of Brighton Fringe Festival. The show had a highly successful season in London's West End at the Trafalgar Studios as well as Camden Fringe and it's sell out run at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it received rave 5* reviews. It is a celebration of Streisand's vast career and musical achievements with songs from Broadway to Pop and Jazz all of which have been made famous by the star during her career.

Lisa Faye takes you on a musical journey through a collection of songs that Streisand brought to life with her unique style and interpretation from Streisand's first intimately recorded standard, You'll Never Know, through to award winning films like, Funny Girl and No.1 hits such as Evergreen, including some lesser known gems along the way. Superb musical arrangements have been created by Musical Director and Arranger Allan Rogers (Strictly Come Dancing Tour) who accompanies the much celebrated Lisa Faye who in turn delivers the songs expertly, interjected with fun and interesting anecdotes about Streisand and her music.

A selection of original Barbra Streisand dresses can also be seen at Latest Music Bar when Streisand - The Main Event comes to town! Three gowns from various designers including Donna Karan were secured by the show's creator and performer Lisa Faye in Streisand's charity auction in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles in 2009.

Trained at The BRIT School and The Royal Academy of Music in London, Lisa has worked extensively in the field of entertainment throughout the world, including on board numerous cruise ships. She has performed her shows at the Edinburgh Festival & BAFTA, worked alongside Mike Batt, The Barron Knights, The Commitments, The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded an American No 1 chart hit with TV's Jane McDonald. She also became the first vocalist to sing live on BBC Radio 5 Live in 2001 alongside BBC TV and radio football commentator, John Motson.
