Roll up, roll up, the circus has arrived on London's South Bank. La Soirée has assembled a fabulous line-up of world-renowned artists for their delicious and twisted take on cabaret and variety in the exquisite new South Bank Big Top. This luscious pop-up venue will be home to La Soirée until January 30. A beautiful space fashioned from hand carved wood, polished mirrors, velvet, crystal and coloured leadlight, the South Bank Big Top will lend even more intimacy, style and sex appeal to this sassy little show.

Featuring several performers who have not been seen in London since La Clique closed the Hippodrome in 2009, La Soirée is thrilled to announce that the following artists along with special guests will appear during the season:

CABARET DECADANSE
A rollicking, sassy, sexy and hilarious puppet feast for adults, Montreal's Cabaret Decadanse bring to life a cast of amazing characters to a haunting soundtrack Extraordinarily expressive, these creations are made from stuffed rags and scraps of material and are brought to vivid life through the brilliant choreography of Serge Deslauriers and Enock Turcotte.

CAPTAIN FRODO
The son of a famous Norse magician, this wunderkind has graced the stage since he was four. Possessed of an utterly beguiling charm, and famed the world over for bending, contorting and manipulating his body into shapes that are as astonishing as they are unnatural, Frodo is one of a kind. You will never look at a tennis racquet, much less a baked-bean tin, the same way again.

David O'MER
Hailing from Berlin and originally trained as a gymnast, David has been a cornerstone of this dysfunctional family for many years. His now world-famous incarnation as 'Bath Boy' leaves audiences damp and breathless in admiration - the combination of wet jeans and awe-inspiring aerial ballet is once-seen, never-forgotten. David IS the Adonis in denim.

THE ENGLISH GENTS
Denis Lock and Hamish McCann are two delightfully devilish and cordial "English" gentlemen who perform inconceivable feats of acrobatic skill, strength and balance, whilst sporting the stiffest of British upper lips. The act mixes their highly skilled stunts with a dry English wit, unexpectedly climaxing with the two hilariously baring what's under their bowler hats for Queen and country.
And that's not all! In a UK first the Gents will be premiering their solo acts with La Soirée, offering London audiences the chance to see beyond the pinstripes and breeches. As Denis looks to the Far East in a kimono-clad display of towering strength, Hamish heads to the poles in an act which is sure to leave you ‘feeling good'.

LE GATEAU CHOCOLAT
Le Gateau Chocolat is an Opera-singing diva with a penchant for being wrapped in body-hugging lycra and a passion for laughter. This delicious confection is a killer baritone who delivers outrageous and moving renditions of pop, jazz and musical theatre. Le Gateau Chocolat has performed at many prestigious venues including The Royal Opera House and Copenhagen Opera House. A real show-stopper, Le Gateau Chocolat has a warmth that will see the whole world addicted to chocolate.

JESS LOVE
This whirlwind of energy is Australian dynamo, Jess Love. A veteran of Circus Oz, The Candy Butchers and The Burlesque Hour, she has an array of traditional skills to her name but a very unorthodox approach to using them. She's a sassy physical comedienne with a cute-as-a-button demeanor. Succumb to the quirky charms of this doe-eyed charmer, and in a flash of fizzing rope, she will have stolen your heart and left you swooning.

MARAWA
Sassy, hot to trot and as skilled as they come, Marawa is both sleek cabaret artist and cheeky clown. A virtuoso of the Hula Hoop and a demon on skates, she has dazzled on stages across the world, her unique brand of coquettish comedy charming and amazing audiences in equal measure. Part Josephine Baker and part Betty Boop, La Soirée is delighted to welcome back this exquisite package of carnival energy to the London fold.

MISS BEHAVE
The final word in eccentric divas, Miss Behave is the last female sword-swallower in the West. Variously described as a ‘husky voiced comic and gorgeous live cartoon' and 'a courtesan of comedy', she is also a gifted mistress of ceremonies, hosting Miss Behave's Variety Nighty and the anarchic cult comedy show The Crack. Part of the family since the very beginning, this oral anomaly is the stuff of sideshow legends. It just wouldn't be La Soirée without her.

MOOKY
La Soirée is proud to welcome Canadian-born Mooky Cornish into the bosom of its unconventional family. Renowned for her side-splitting physical comedy, Mooky is one of the funniest ladies working on the international circuit today. Irresistible and captivating, this quirky comedienne has entranced over a million spectators worldwide in both North America and Europe. Mooky's illustrious background includes being the lead clown and inspiration for Cirque du Soleil's recent best-selling production, Varekai. Among her many talents Mooky is a pianist, puppeteer, mask maker, accordion squeezer and chicken trainer. ‘Is there anything she can't do?' we hear you cry. Not likely.

Press night will be held on October 21st 2010.
