BUBBA & LUVVIE

July 7th - August 8th

Angus Strachan Presents... A BIG TEX PRODUCTION

The eagerly awaited 'Bubba & Luvvie'is an energetic, intense and wild piece of new theatre written and directed by the phenomenally talented Angus Strachan. Brought to you by BIG TEX Productions, 'Bubba and Luvvie' is hilarious, intriguing, and downright shocking?

'Bubba & Luvvie' is a two-hander with an impressive cast in Mia Soteriou (Mike Leigh; David Cronenberg; Mamma Mia!; Eastern Promises) and Gerard McDermott (Calendar Girls; Whistle Down the Wind; Fool for Love). Combined they bring a magnetism and frisson to the stage reminiscent of ElizaBeth Taylor and Richard Burton, of Bogey and Bacall!

An excellent example of vibrant, edgy new writing, Angus Strachan (winner of the James Joyce International Writing Award 2000) presents two scandalously flawed individuals - Bubba and Luvvie - who meet on a cliff top and playfully joust with one another whilst their back story becomes more gritty, terrifying and poignant, revealing the desperate reason Bubba and Luvvie must resolve their romantic conundrum - TONIGHT!

Bubba and Luvvie's exceptional prose is complimented by unique staging that champions advances in lighting and sound. As the waves beat against the cliff face, the audience will feel as if they are being pulled deeper and deeper into the whirlpool that is Bubba and Luvvie's tale.

"An energetic display of linguistic vitality that never fails to entertain." (Extra! Extra!)

"Bubba & Luvvie is definitely worth watching for its biting humour and mercurial language which the language relish through top quality performances." (Extra! Extra!)
