Julie Atherton to Lead Interval Productions' ANOTHER WAY World Premiere, 11 Sept. - 5 Oct.
Another Way, a new musical about being on the cusp of greatness, featuring the songs of up-and-coming singer/songwriter Benedict, rearranged specially for the production, will get its world premiere at The Cockpit theatre from Wednesday 11 September - Saturday 5 October.
With a cast that includes West End regular Julie Atherton (she originated the role of Kate Monster/Lucy The Slut in Avenue Q and made her West End debut in he lead role of Sophie in MammaMia!), Another Way is three short stories about three London-based couples - friends, family and lovers - over the course of three months. It's about luck in its different forms, from feeling lucky to being struck by luck, by a chance meeting. It's about hope, it's about getting stronger, and staying up later, for the 'dawn of our glory days'.
The show also features Matthew Collyer, Andy Coxon, Aiden Crawford, Bart Edwards, and Ria Cherrelle Horsford.
Another Way features a book by Sarah Henley and Tori Allen-Martin (Off West End Award nominated Most Promising Playwrights for Streets.
It is directed by Bo Boland (Spring Awakening and Spelling Bee at Broadway Catford; and Streets at The Cockpit and Hackney Empire).
Another Way is produced by Interval Productions, who scored a major success at The Cockpit in 2012 with the world premiere of the musical Streets, which subsequently transferred to Hackney Empire. Streets was nominated Best Musical Production in the Off West End Awards. Their production After The Turn was Broadway World-nominated in the Best Fringe or Regional Musical category.
