Last night Judi Dench was awarded a prize for Outstanding Achievement at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards and responded by telling the audience she was "overwhelmed". She was presented the award by the Rose Theatre's Director Emeritus Sir Peter Hall, who directed her as Titania in the Rose's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last year.

A Midsummer Night's Dream has been nominated as the Theatre Event of 2010 at the WhatsOnStage awards which will be held in February. Voting is open until the end of the month at www.whatsonstage.com/awards
