Full Cast and Children All Wrapped Up in CHRISTMAS FEAST
READY STEADY COLOUR CHRISTMAS FEAST! will seat just 60 guests per show in DISCOVER's new Studio Theatre space, to enjoy an exciting festive musical show, whilst creating their very own festive meal. Once seated at their reserved banquet table, the show begins with the menu, as in any restaurant, choosing which birch wood meal plate to order (traditional Christmas dinner, ginger bread man, Christmas pud). The cast sing the "condiment" song, as the orders are individually taken, and they deliver all the ingredients to create a one off festive plate. Every audience member aged 3-103 will start to make their make-believe meal plate, as the story starts to unfold around them!
But poor Robin, the guitar playing waiter, has lost his Christmas spirit and needs help finding it, and the head chef is at the end of her tether.....so who could possibly help save the day...?! CHRISTMAS FEAST! is an unique 55 minute creative, musical, live family theatre storytelling art show, where everyone joins in the celebrations together - and takes home their very own CHRISTMAS FEAST plate!
To celebrate the opening of the new Studio Theatre space, DISCOVER commissioned A Line Art's Anna Bruder and Arji Manuelpillai to bring to life CHRISTMAS FEAST! Artist Anna will be kept very busy in her studio in the lead up to the Festive Season, as she individually hand paints the meal outlines on the 4000 birch wooden plates needed for the run of CHRISTMAS FEAST!
And that's not the only festive show going on at DISCOVER - the delightful GLITTERBUGS returns in the new story-telling space. GLITTERBUGS is a sparkly, glittery, shiny world full of wonderful stories, songs and puppets. GLITTERBUGS is a winter haven for DISCOVER's youngest and most discerning audience, the babies and toddlers and opens from THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER 2016 - SUNDAY 15 JANUARY 2017. GLITTERBUGS is for 0-3 year olds.
