The Finborough Theatre under its multi-award-winning Artistic Director Neil McPherson continues its acclaimed artistic policy of vibrant new writing and unique rediscoveries. Our Summer Season opens with two classic rediscoveries from Northern Ireland. Following the success of the Finborough Theatre's rediscovery of St John Ervine's Mixed Marriage in 2011, we now present the first English production in nearly 100 years of his Ulster tragedy John Ferguson, playing 20 May-14 June 2014. It is accompanied on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays between 25-10 June 2014 by the first London production for more than 40 years of Stewart Parker's classic 1970s drama Spokesong.

In June, we present a play and a musical - two premieres of the best new writing from the United States. The world premiere of Kevin Kautzman's multi-award-winning new play, Dream of Perfect Sleep, runs 17 June-12 July 2014; whilst, Hostage Song, the European premiere of the Off-Off Broadway indie rock musical from New York artists Clay McLeod Chapman and Kyle Jarrow plays on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays between 22 June-8 July 2014.

The season comes to a close with the long overdue UK premiere of Noël Coward's play This Was A Man, playing 15 July-2 August 2014; accompanied by a world premiere from Liverpool playwright Dameon Garnett, 17, plays on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays between 20-29 July 2014.

The Finborough Arms pub has now reopened and is earning much acclaim for its carefully curated changing selection of craft beers and ciders. More information at http://www.perfectpint.co.uk/best-real-ale-pubs-UK/15440/Finborough-Arms

Elsewhere, our recent sell out new British musical Thérèse Raquin - first seen as part of our annualVibrant - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights - plays at the Park Theatre from 30 July- 24 August 2014. And a original cast recording with full orchestra of our UK premiere production of Ivor Novello's Valley of Song will be released shortly.
