Daniel Bye to Bring THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING to TOM, Dec 12

By:

Daniel Bye in association with ARC Stockton presents: The Price Of Everything. Daniel Bye's whistlestop tour of bizarre facts and impassioned arguments, asking: What do we really value - and how? Pay What You Think It's Worth >> Tickets available from £0.50 to £??? Daniel uses theatre to make big political and philosophical ideas easily digestable. Every audience member gets a FREE glass of milk.

The Price of Everything is explored in a special performance lecture delivered by Daniel Bye. The show explores the idea of value, using a mix of stand-up and storytelling to invite the audience to speculate on the value of everything from a glass of milk to an air guitar. It questions why we have to calculate the value of everything in monetary terms and gently introduces the idea of an alternative system.

Comic, provocative, and possibly a tiny bit sad, this show is a must for anyone who has ever wondered about the difference between the price of an object and its value. Plus every audience member gets a free glass of milk!

The Price of Everything is written and performed by Daniel Bye, described by The Times as "the future of British theatre". A theatre-maker from the North East of England, Daniel is interested in making big political and philosophical ideas easily digestible, and uses his solo, ensemble and digital performance work to do this.

The show has already been performed to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, earning four star reviews from The Times and the Financial Times and enjoying a sell-out run as part of the Northern Stage at St Stephens festival programme. Audiences have described it as "Incredibly clever and satisfying", "funny, profound and urgent" and "A brilliantly clever, witty and ambitious show. Cunningly constructed and delivered with an ease that belies its serious intent and humane intelligence. Oh, and it is very funny."

Daniel's show is all about the ways we attribute value. As such, you may opt to 'Pay What You Think It's Worth' for your ticket. See website, or call 01273 201 801 for details.
