Country Mile Comedy Club 5 Returns to Benefit Help Refugees
Country Mile is back with its fifth night of cheap & charitable comedy from some of the most exciting comedians around. Hosted at The Star of Kings, Country Mile presents a stellar line up headlined by award-winning stand-up RHYS JAMES (Mock the Week; Russell Howard's Stand-Up Central). Our MC for the night is ROSE MATAFEO (Have I Got News For You; Best Newcomer nominee at the 2016 Melbourne International Comedy Festival) and joining her on the bill are sketch-trio BIRTHDAY GIRLS (Elevenish; Live at the Electric), stand-up KAE KURD (Best Newcomer nominee at the 2016 Chortle Awards), and the sketch group PELICAN, fresh from their debut show at VAULT Festival.
Past acts include Liam Williams, Ed Gamble, Mae Martin, Max and Ivan, Felicity Ward, Lou Sanders and The Pin.
Country Mile Comedy Club 5 is fundraising for Help Refugees, who are the largest distributors of aid of any grassroots organisation across Europe, funding projects in 22 Refugee camps in Greece as well as camps and settlements in Paris, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.
