Cast Announced for PETER PAN at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

As rehearsals begin, full casting is today announced for Wolverhampton Grand Theatre's pantomime, Peter Pan which opens on Saturday 12 December 2015.

Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world's biggest pantomime producer, this year's Christmas show will star the previously announced Chuckle Brothers as Paul & Barry Smee, John Altman as Captain Hook, and Ross Carpenter in the role of Peter Pan.

Joining them is Lucy Evans as Tinkerbell who returns to the Grand Theatre following her appearance in the title role of Sleeping Beauty in 2013. Lucy started her career at the age of eight appearing as Little Cosette in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre in London's West End. Her television credits include Lauren Wilson in Coronation Street (ITV) and Felicity Smart in the multi-award winning television series Microsoap (BBC/Disney). Last Christmas, Lucy played the part of Tinkerbell in Northampton at Royal & Derngate for Qdos Entertainment.

In the role of Wendy will be Hannah Nicholas. Hannah trained and graduated from Laine Theatre Arts. Her theatre credits include Dorothy in The Chuckles of Oz (Qdos Entertainment/UK Tour); Wendy in Peter Pan (Qdos Entertainment/Theatre Royal, Nottingham); Catherine/understudy Marie & Dance Captain in Save The Last Dance For Me (UK Tour) and Cinderella in Cinderella (Qdos Entertainment/Theatre Royal, Plymouth).

Birmingham-born Kimmy Edwards who grew up in Telford, will play Tiger Lily. Kimmy has just finished a successful run in the original West End cast of the Olivier award-winning musical Memphis at the Shaftesbury Theatre where she covered the lead role of Felicia Farrell. Kimmy trained at the Guildford School of Acting and, on graduating, made her West End debut in Legally Blonde playing the roles of the Judge and Saleswoman. Following this, she completed a successful run at the English Theatre of Frankfurt (and subsequent German tour) of Tommy playing the iconic Tina Turner role of the Acid Queen. Kimmy then continued to perform in Germany playing a Dynamite in the hit musical Hairspray. Coming back to the UK, she went on to play Ortisha in the UK National Tour of Ghost the Musical which played at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in June 2013.

The pantomime will also feature Cameron MacDonald, Sara Morley, Sophie O'Connor, Angela Sheppard, Penny Smart, Alex Sturman, Philip Town and Austin Wilks in the ensemble.

In the roles of Wendy's brothers, Archie Turner, aged eight from Rowley Regis will play Michael alongside James Shaw, aged 11 from Bishopswood as John. On alternate dates, George Passalacqua, aged eight from Bromsgrove will play Michael alongside Liam Hewitt, aged ten from Kingswinford as John.

Peter Pan opens at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on Saturday 12 December 2015 and runs until Sunday 24 January 2016. Tickets can be booked by calling 01902 42 92 12 or online at grandtheatre.co.uk.
