Following on from the success of last year's sell-out, It's a Wonderful Life, Bridge House Productions presents the UK Premiere of A Christmas Carol ... more or less - a hilarious 'play within a play' version of the Dickens classic written by Saturday Night Live writers Stefano LoVerso and Mary Ivey.

It's Christmas Eve and as Bridge House Theatre prepares for curtain up on their production of A Christmas Carol, disaster strikes as Charlie and Sarah, the theatre owners, are suddenly faced with a crisis that will put their talents and fragile relationship to the test. The cast and crew are snowed out - but it's showtime and an audience awaits! How can two people possibly perform all the characters and save the show? As the evening events unfold at a rip roaring speed can Sarah and Charlie hold the show together and, against all the odds, make it through or will this be the final curtain call on their relationship? Who knows? The Ghost of Christmas yet-to-come? Whatever happens, the show must and will go on!

Described as a mixture of Noises Off, Stones in his Pockets and A Christmas Carol, A Christmas Carol...More or Less is a joyfully silly seasonal romp with all the warmth and charm of the Dickens tale.

Last seen in the acclaimed Alice's Adventures Underground (Les Enfant Terribles, Waterloo Vaults), Nichole Bird will star as Sarah. She will appear alongside Ben Woods as Charlie, recently seen in the UK tour of the award-winning Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story. A Christmas Carol... More or Less will be directed by Bridge House Theatre SE20's Artistic Director, Guy Retallack and produced by Bridge House Theatre Productions SE20 Limited.

Bridge House Theatre SE20, spearheaded by Guy Retallack, his actress wife, Rachel Tucker (currently starring as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway) and their long-term collaborator Rob Harris is rapidly acquiring a reputation for quality work. Recent credits include the London premiere of Nottingham Playhouses' Tony's Last Tape, a specially commissioned Pantomime, the inaugural Penge Festival and It's a Wonderful Life, currently touring the UK.

Rachel Tucker says "Guy, Rob and I are so proud of the work we have achieved at Bridge House over the past year. With no government or corporate sponsorship behind us, it's testament to the support of our local audience and those visiting from further afield. We look forward to continue positively impacting the arts in SE London, starting with the wonderful A Christmas Carol... More or Less.
