How fast can a mermaid run?
You might think mermaids don't run but in Belamour's mind they do.
'Belamour' is a new comi-tragic one-man show that follows the journey of a builder, who's desperately searching for answers after the death of his mother and the birth of multiple sclerosis on his body. This is a non-profit production that aims to tell a powerful story, raise awareness and donate all proceeds to MS Society UK to help provide practical help today and hope for a cure tomorrow.
Based on a true story, the show explores the conflict created between Belamour's loyalty for his family and his love for an outsider. This explosive, new, multilingual show unfolds like a piece of urban poetry, uncompromising, funny, telling a story that celebrates the human spirit.
In his quest for freedom, Belamour explores the themes of cultural belonging, love, death, disease, belief in a higher power, rebirth, self-discovery, happiness, and freedom through different mediums such as physical theatre, clowning, projections, spoken word, and different languages including English, French, and Arabic.
