Europe is close to war and intrigue is everywhere. When a beautiful mystery woman is murdered, Richard Hannay must stay one step ahead of the police, the killers, and a jealous husband in a quest to prove his innocence. Throw in a missing finger, foreign spies and a mad dash from sophisticated pre-war London to the heather covered hills of rural Scotland and you have an action packed Hitchcock send-up that just might make you dizzy.

An original concept by Nobby Dimon and Simon Corble, this ingenious adaptation reenacts the 1935 Hitchcock film nearly word for word and scene for scene with only four actors: one who plays the main character, Richard Hannay (John Ullyatt), one lovely actor who plays his three female love interests (Adrienne Smook), and two actors who perform the rest of the over one hundred characters including heroes, scoundrels, men, ladies, children and maybe an inanimate object or two (Andy Curtis, Christopher Hunt).

The 39 Steps is adapted by Patrick Barlow, Starring Andy Curtis, Christopher Hunt, Adrienne Smook and John Ullyatt, Directed by Mark Bellamy, Stage Manager Johanne Deleeuw, Assistant Stage Manager Heather Rycraft, Apprentice Stage Manager Megan Gurnsey, Set Design and Lighting Design Narda McCarroll, Sound Design Christian Goutsis, Costume Design Deitra Kalyn and Head of Props Amanda Fox.
