In celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary, The National Ballet of Canada's special project, 150 Pointes of Canada, has attracted interest and participation from across the country.

The National Ballet is sending 150 pointe shoes across Canada, spanning all provinces and territories, to the country's most recognizable landmarks. The company is working with organizations and individuals to capture 150 images of the pointe shoes in locations that symbolize the Canadian identity.

Participants who have submitted imagery for 150 Pointes of Canada to date include: Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, High River, Alberta, Blachford Lake in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Mont Tremblant in Québec, the Three Churches in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Mile 0 of the Marathon of Hope in St. John's, Newfoundland, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride and Pier 21 in Halifax.

The 150 images are posted online using #150Pointes and are featured in a virtual exhibit on the National Ballet's website.
