Studio Theatre's 'HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2' at the Toronto Centre Extends Thru 3/22

You won't have to fly south to enjoy summer-like weather this March Break. You can find it at the Studio Theatre in the Toronto Centre for the Arts! (5040 Yonge Street). Producer Jonathan Randall is pleased to announce today that the brand new stage version of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 will be extending its stay this March.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2: ON STAGE follows the summertime adventures of Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats as they work as staff members at the Lava Springs Country Club.

The Wildcats are out to have the best summer of their lives, but Sharpay?s secret plan to steal Troy away from Gabriella threatens to ruin their plans.

The stage version features all the songs from the movie, including What Time Is It,You Are The Music In Me, Gotta Go My Own Way and Bet On It, as well as some new additions and the un-aired Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

Five more shows are being added to the run. Three matinees- Friday March 20th, Saturday March 21st and Sunday March 22nd at 1:30 and two evening shows- Friday March 20th and Saturday March 21st at 7:30.

Tickets for the extension are $22 and go on sale Monday. They are available at Ticketmaster by calling 416-872-1111 or online at ticketmaster.ca and in person at the Toronto Centre for the Arts Box Office, 5040 Yonge Street, Toronto. (Monday- Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, noon ? 4:00 p.m.) Service charges not included. No service charges added when purchased in person at the Toronto Centre.

Jonathan Randall also announces the cast for the Canadian Premiere of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 ON STAGE! The cast includes: Hani Zakaria as Troy Bolton, Tanya Katchouni as Gabriella Montez, Sky Fairchild- Waller as Ryan Evans, Kira-Jade as Sharpay Evans, Justin Thompson as Chad Danforth and Jazz Testolini as Taylor McKessie.

The company also includes: Candace Brown, Morissa Brown, James Clark, Diona Chattrisse Dolabaille, Ryan Echlin, Taylor Evans, Stefanie Farina, Jake Forrer, Alex Hanson, Kyle Kass, Brian Luckman, Khadija Morong, Paula Ng, Carina Oliveira and Nikki Ponte.

The production is directed by David Walcer, with choreography by Tanya Katchouni and Justin Thompson.
