Studio 5040 Cabarets is looking for performers for their upcoming season. All performances take place at Toronto Centre for the Arts Studio Theatre, 5040 Yonge St.

AUDITION DATES:

Monday, August 10, 2009, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, RehearsAl Hall

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Please prepare a 10-15 minute sampling of your cabaret material.  This may consist of a combination of songs, humour, storytelling, and/or interacting with the audience.

Music may be show tunes or popular music or original songs (or a combination), but it is our hope that your material can be enjoyed by a broad audience.

Whether you are a solo act, a duo, trio, or whatever, we welcome the chance to see you perform.

Please bring your own accompanist, or an accompaniment CD.  We will provide a piano and a boom box.  Please bring a recent photo and your resume.

Successful candidates will be contracted to participate in upcoming cabaret evenings.  These engagements come with an honorarium.

These auditions are open to everyone, whether you are a professional actor, musical theatre performer, or non-professional performer.
