Albert Schultz, General Director of the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, today announced Full Bloom - a new dance program opening the Young Centre's 2010 season. Full Bloom, choreographed by contemporary dance masters Robert Glumbek, Kevin O'Day and Luches Huddleston Jr. is performed by Young Centre Resident Artist Roberto Campanella, O'Day and Huddleston Jr.

Four of the world's most dynamic and exciting male dancers come together in Full Bloom. Robert Glumbek is a celebrated dancer and choreographer of international acclaim. Kevin O'Day is Artistic Director of the Ballet Mannheim at the Nationaltheater Mannheim in Germany. Luches Huddleston Jr. is a renowned choreographer and former dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and was a scholarship recipient from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York, and Roberto Campanella is a choreographer and Artistic Director of ProArteDanza, and formerly a dancer with the National Ballet of Canada.

O'Day, Huddleston Jr. and Campanella - all accomplished and dynamic dancers in their 40's - perform a poignant evening of dance, exploring themes of mortality, strength, personal freedom, the male role in dance, and the male role in society. Full Bloom is the personal and intimate journey of three men through the joys of fatherhood, the demands of manhood, and the challenges imposed by physical age.

Full Bloom received its world premiere at Ballet Mannheim in Germany in October, 2009, and will have its Toronto premiere at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts in January 2010. Full Bloom returns to Ballet Mannheim for three performances in early 2010 (January 30, February 3 and 6) and will continue to run in repertory in Ballet Mannheim's 2010 season.
