OPIA Theatre Collective to Present WIDOW'S WEDDING DRESS

By:

Widow's Wedding Dress is back and this time we're performing at The Red Sandcastle Theatre. Make sure to catch this awesome production on March 3 and 4 at 8pm. Tickets are $15.

In Northern Ireland, sisters Rosaleen and Catherine grow to define their roles as women in a community of Irish Travellers. In a culture dominated by passionate men and their taste for violence the sisters give the audience a window into the lives of the women "around the campfires and in the caravans." Reeling from a recent tragedy the sisters must navigate their way toward acceptance, music, and light.

Directed by Cassidy Anne Hicks with assistant director/stage manager Brendan Kinnon, the show stars Robin Luckwaldt Ross as Rosaleen and Kathleen Welch as Catherine.
