A free concert series has been announced for the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre. The lineup is as follows:

The Free Concert Series in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre is a unique opportunity to experience diverse artistic programming in what has become one of Toronto's most exciting cultural hubs. Six inspiring series offer concerts, dance performances and engaging presentations that feature both up-and-coming young artists and established international stars. All performances are FREE to the public. Date Series Artist Dec. 1, 2011 12 - 1 p.m. Chamber Music Series Creative Explorations Join the TSO Adopt-A-Player musicians as they premiere a jointly composed work based on their experiences of being artist-educators. Blurring the lines between music and theatre, this original composition is an introduction to the techniques that the musicians used during the creative music-making process. Dec. 6, 2011 12 - 1 p.m. Jazz Series Eclectasy Expect to be surprised by the Humber Studio Jazz Ensemble, which now includes an eclectic blend of big band and adventuresome strings, vibes and percussion under the inspired direction of Denny Christianson.
Dec. 7, 2011 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Jazz Series Contemporary Conversations Pianist Nancy Walker and trumpeter Bruce Cassidy tug at the boundaries of structure and freedom, playing original material and selections from the jazz standards repertoire.Dec. 13, 2011 12 - 1 p.m. Jazz Series Holiday Blend Four men. Four microphones. No instruments. This is the formula for Canada's celebrated vocal quartet, Cadence. In this special presentation, they lavish their inimitable style on some of the best-loved songs of the holiday season.Dec. 15, 2011 12-1 p.m. Jazz Series Mercy "Extreme flutist" Bill McBirnie and powerhouse pianist Robi Botos weave a magic spell in a series of duos from their much-lauded recent CD, Mercy. By turns gentle, passionate, sparkling and luminous, the duo's astonishing dexterity, musical chemistry and intense energy are always in evidence in this series of explorations ranging from bebop, bossa and swing to original compositions, including Botos's beautiful ballad that gave the CD its title.
