Toronto-based theatre company Breathe.Feel.Love announced today that its production of the cult rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch will return to Toronto on June 27 and 29 for two special performances at the Drake Underground during Toronto's 2013 Pride festival. Both performances start at 9 p.m. (doors at 8:30 p.m.). Tickets are $35 and are available in advance at breathefeellove.com or at the door at each performance.

"After a successful Toronto run earlier this year, we are thrilled to bring Hedwig back for Toronto's Pride festival," said Seth Drabinsky, who plays Hedwig in Breathe.Feel.Love's production in addition to his role of director and co-producer. "This play speaks to the universality of love and the journey toward self-acceptance, two themes that are at the centre of the Pride festival and to which we all can relate."

Written by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a rock concert style musical that tells the story of transsexual bombshell Hedwig and her nonchalant indie band 'The Angry Inch' as they tour across America in pursuit of Hedwig's former lover and world-famous pop star, Tommy Gnosis. Featuring eclectic music inspired by pop/rock icons of the 70s and 80s, this gender-bending production takes the audience through a tragic story of betrayal, emotional and physical sacrifice, and love.

Praise for Breathe.Feel.Love's production include 3.5 out of 4 stars from The Globe and Mail, NNNN (out of five) from NOW Magazine and 9/10 from The Grid TO.

In addition to its successful Toronto run in January 2013, Breathe.Feel.Love has performed its production of Hedwig across central Canada, including the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, a one-night engagement at Montreal's Le National and a unique outdoor performance on the main stage of Ottawa's Capital Pride Festival.

Breathe.Feel.Love is a Toronto theatre company that began in late 2009 when a group of Toronto musicians and theatre artists decided to form an ad-hoc collective to promote and foster their collaborations on future projects. It is committed to creating superb theatrical and musical events that engage directly with Toronto's LGBT and independent arts communities.
