Actress Lindsay Thomas Dies at 31

Broadway and Stratford Shakespeare Festival actress Lindsay Thomas passed away on Wednesday, February 3, at the age of 31 after a battle with stage-four lung cancer.

Lindsay Thomas appeared in the original Broadway production and Canadian production of 'Hairspray' and went on to tour with the show's national tour in the U.S. Thomas was regular member of the company at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival where she played Ado Annie in 'Oklahoma' and had roles in 'The Music Man', 'Fuente Overjuna', 'My One and Only', 'Oliver!' and 'Don Juan'. Thomas also created the role of 'Francine' in the Toronto production of 'Jersey Boys'.

Thomas' other theatre credits include 'Grease', 'Aladdin', 'The Crucible', 'Anne of Green Gables' and 'City of Angels'.
