What happens when we stop valuing artists? A shy young girl who feels lost in the world discovers a magical secret that reveals her true purpose in life. As Alex sets out on a quest to stand up to the evil King and bring freedom back to all the artists in the land she realizes the true power of her voice and value of her creativity.

Alex The Artist aims to inspire and remind the younger generation that everyone has a voice and the potential to change the world: Empathy and creativity trump hate and fear every single time.

LoveYouMore Productions is proud to debut our new play Alex The Artist at the Toronto Fringe KidsFest this year. Company founder and playwright Alycia Novak has spent the last three years working as a travelling nanny. She loves coffee, animals, and show business! However, after working in the "business" for a few years, she found there were a few things she didn't love: the lack of leading roles for women, the lack of diverse roles for women, and the lack of opportunities for women to take the lead behind the scenes. With a desire to "be the change", Alycia founded LoveYouMore Productions with a mandate to support

women in front of the camera, on stage, and behind the scenes -

because that's exactly what the business needs.

Under the direction of Rebecca Ballarin, Alex The Artist will showcase the work of talented local theatre artists on stage and boasts an all-female crew working behind the scenes to bring this inspiring new play to life.

Come see Alex The Artist at the Toronto Fringe KidsFest and join Alex on her quest to stand up to the evil King and bring freedom back to all artists in the land. Stand up. Create. Change the World.
