Conejo Players Theatre Celebrates Historic 60th Anniversary with SHINE! Gala
One of the longest-running non-profit community theatres in Southern California is currently preparing THE event of the season -- SHINE! Celebrating 60 Years of Conejo Players Theatre.
Conejo Players Theatre has been a stalwart arts organization in the Conejo Valley for six incredible decades -- and is one of its foremost hidden gems. Founded in 1958 with a "Let's start a theatre!" attitude, a meager treasury, and a handful of volunteers that built a stage in a barn, our theatre is still thriving today. CPT is an all-volunteer organization, with a yearly multi-show season that serves more than 12,000 patrons from all over Ventura and Los Angeles counties. The SHINE! Gala -- set to take place on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 6:00pm at the theatre -- will honor CPT's amazing 60th Anniversary, as well as three new recipients of their prestigious Arts Advocate Awards. Nominations for these awards -- the Legacy, Civil, and Youth Advocate Awards -- are currently being collected from the community, and a separate announcement of honorees will be made soon. (The awards will be presented as part of the event.)
Gala attendees will also delight in delicious food and drink; live jazz during dinner; a first-rate auction; dancing to a fabulous 17-piece big band; and, of course, a champagne toast! Tickets are $100 per person for the full evening, and only $40 per person for after-dinner live music and dancing. Seating is limited!
