His explorations in Blues and R&B, Rock and Jazz have produced lasting work and a career that has brought with it acclaim, a loyal following, and an enduring respect among musicians. Joining Scaggs on stage is the critically-acclaimed Robert Cray Band. Robert Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today both fresh and familiar. In just over forty years Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, fifteen of which have been on the Billboard charts. In 2011 Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Asolo Repertory Theatre proudly presents an FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training touring production of THE TRAGEDY OF HAMLET. This brand new production, which will be presented during the 400th anniversary year of Shakespeare's death, is adapted and directed by Justin Lucero, director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory's hit 2015 production of The Liar. This seventh annual educational touring production, THE TRAGEDY OF HAMLET, will tour schools and community venues throughout Sarasota and the state of Florida, from Tallahassee to Miami, from September 27 through November 22, 2016. There will be a special performance for educators, press, and the public on Today, September 30 at 6pm in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training proudly kicks off its 2016-17 season with Pultizer Prize-winner Lanford Wilson's gripping drama BOOK OF DAYS. The American Theatre Critics Association Best Play winner will be directed by FSU/Asolo Conservatory Director Greg Leaming. Featuring the entire second-year Conservatory class, the production previews on Tuesday, November 1, with a special 'Pay What You Can Performance', officially opens Wednesday, November 2, and runs throughSunday, November 20 in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Gulf Coast Community Foundation Awards FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training $7,500 Grant

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training today announced that it is the recipient of a $7,500 grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation. This generous gift supports the Conservatory's Shakespeare in the Gardens: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, a new initiative presented in collaboration with Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The final show of the Conservatory's 2016-17 season, the production will present Shakespeare's spirited and whimsical classic on the stunning grounds of Selby Gardens April 11 through 29. The grant is made possible by the Jarrett Family Fund at Gulf Coast.

Based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion, with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe, My Fair Lady is gloriously triumphant. The tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady features one of musical theatre's greatest scores. Songs include "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?," "With a Little Bit of Luck," "The Rain in Spain," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "On the Street Where You Live," "Get Me to the Church on Time," and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face." The production is directed by Steve Dawson and Music Directed by Paul Smith. Featuring set design by Caleb Carrier, lighting design by Michael Pasquini, with costume design by Becky Evans and stage management by Tiffany Smith.
