Rockdale's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS  Lands In Two Weeks Time

Rockdale's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS  Lands In Two Weeks Time ImageBeware Earthlings! From the creative team that brought you DREAMGIRLS, the cult musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors is heading to Rockdale Town Hall for 1 week only. Landing in Sydney in two weeks' time for only 6 performances, buy tickets now before they're all gobbled up!

This gleefully gruesome musical combines the upbeat, doo wop Motown score, puppet wizardry and a wickedly talented cast. The toe tapping rock & roll score will delight new comers to the show, while those familiar with the movies need no enticement for this raucous trip down memory lane.

The extraordinarily talented Dave Collins stars as the unassuming, hapless flower shop worker Seymour Krelborn. Playing the object of Seymour's affections, Audrey, is the Emily Engeman. The opportunistic shop owner Mr Mushnik, is played by Tim Martin while the role of the demon dentist and Audrey's sadistic boyfriend is Gabriel Burke. Jade Montalvo, Julia Hyde and Sharonne Lipman play the three sassy Supreme-esque streetwise urchins while Daniel Kenyon voices the most famous fly-trap of all time, Audrey II.

The ensemble comprises of Marlon Lowrencey, Tana Lagaáia, Charlotte Wilson, Sally Redman, Tim Wotherspoon, Billie-Rose Brotherson, Tommy Blair, Ethan Taylor, Donald Shearman, Rachel Milburn, Taylor Carlson, Rhiannon De Marghereiti, Stephanie Eid, Renae Goodman, Jordan Harper, MJ Hayes, Georgia Herbert, Bedelia Lowrencey, Alexis Terry.

Director Rod Herbert said 'This production of Little Shop of Horrors is going to knock your socks off! With one of the best-known scores in musical theatre combined with the most talented cast I have worked with, audiences are going to be bowled over. I have no doubt it'll sell out so I suggest booking tickets as soon as possible!"

Laced with dark humour and irresistible music, Little Shop of Horrors is one of the longest-running off Broadway shows of all time. Inspired by the 1960 Roger Corman film of the same name, this rock musical version premiered off Broadway in 1982 before enjoying a successful run on Broadway and in London's West End, eventually inspiring the 1986 film version by veteran puppeteer Frank Oz that starred Rick Moranis.

Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin) rocking 'doo-wop' score includes the popular songs Feed Me, Suddenly Seymour, and Somewhere That's Green.

Don't miss this deviously delicious out-of-this-world musical experience!
