Red Line Underground and Poor Tom's Gin Presents THE RECIDIVISTS
A monster stalks a boy through a formless wasteland; a brilliant psychoanalyst defies the limits of time and space; a carnival talent show goes drastically wrong. And all the while the question lingers: Who are the recidivists?
Sydney comedy duo Mantaur present THE RECIDIVISTS, an original sketch and cabaret show exploring the absurd limits of human ambition. By turns hilarious and nightmarish, The Recidivists defies those who say creeping dread can't be funny (you know who you are). Accompanied by musical wunderkind Allister Haire, Mantaur bring their unique brand of affectionate alienation to the Old Fitz Theatre for 3 nights only.
Mantaur is Sydney performers Rob Johnson and Harry Milas. They are two-time NSW Theatresports Champions, stalwarts of the Sydney Comedy Festival and The Sydney Fringe, creators of the live ensemble sketch show Fat On Purpose, and troupe members of Jane Watt's Bang Bang Rodeo. In 2018, Rob has been touring the country with Calamity Jane while Harry has been storming the Adelaide Fringe with his sell-out magic show The Unfair Advantage. They are thrilled to reunite for an hour of the absurd in The Recidivists at the Old Fitz Theatre.
