The Theatresports Cranston Cup Grand Final 2016 takes place Sunday 27 November at the Enmore Theatre.

And this year's Game of Thrones theme will see Australia's most exciting new talents
challenging champions and legends playing impro games to challenge for the comedy throne!

Comedy sketches played upside-down and inside-out, mind-bending backwards scenes with physical restrictions, tongue-twisting word challenges and impromptu operas and are just the beginning of the fun and games. Anything is possible when these brilliant minds are unleashed onto the comedy stage.

Two months of gut-wrenching, nerve-jangling heats and semi-finals have already thrown forward two confirmed finalists:the young-gun "Crash Test Dummies" (Jim Fishwick, Maddie Parker and Emilia Higgs) and the seasoned veteran "Eejits" (David Callan Jon Williams, Anna Renzenbrink and Ewan Campbell- an all-time champion returning after many years away!).

The last semifinal and repechage rounds will see four more teams join them to challenge for the impro comedy crown.

The Cranston Cup Grand Final features the best new teams from university leagues, rising stars of Sydney's bourgeoning impro-comedy scene, and the most awesome champion players and comics - legends all - from around Australia.

This year's heats even featured a team of Year 10 students from Cranbrook, winners of the 2016 Theatresports Schools Challenge!

This year's final also stars the uber talents of Gep Blake and Benny Davis (from The Axis of Awesome) as musical improvisers, plus MCs Steve Lynch and Jane Simmons.
