BWW Previews: ANGELS IN AMERICA at Royal Dramatic Theater
Tony Kushner's Tony-award winning play ANGELS IN AMERICA will premiere at the Royal Dramatic Theater in Stockholm in early 2018.
The United States in the 1980s. God has forsaken the people who try to live their lives despite the AIDS epidemic and the conservative Reagan administration. One of these people is selected. Now rises an angel from heaven to convince him that he is the only one who can save the world from destruction.
The Stockholm premiere of ANGELS IN AMERICA will feature an updated script by Tony Kushner in a completely new translation. The production will be directed by Farnaz Arbabi.
ANGELS IN AMERICA will run February 1 through April 21, 2018. The first part of the play, titled Millennium, will premiere February 1 and run till the 10. The second part of the play, titled Perestroika, will premiere February 22 and run till March 7. Both parts of the play will run concurrently from March 3 to April. Tickets are available online here.
