The Sheldon Presents St. Louis Irish Arts 2/27

The Sheldon presents St. Louis Irish Arts, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. The talented young people of St. Louis Irish Arts, under the direction of Helen Gannon, will fill The Sheldon with the spirit of the Irish. The young singers, instrumentalists and especially the lively step dancers will bring a little bit of the Emerald Isle to St. Louis.

St. Louis Irish Arts is the local branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, (translated: "A Gathering of Irish
Musicians"), based in Dublin, Ireland. The organization was founded in 1951 and locally in 1972, with the purpose of preserving Irish cultural heritage. St. Louis Irish Arts Inc. is one of the largest branches of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann in North America and currently has the largest number of Junior members.
