The Clarion Brass make their Sheldon debut as this season's holiday treat.

ST. LOUIS, MO - The Sheldon presents Christmas with The Clarion Brass, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 8 and 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. Enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries at 9 a.m. in the beautiful Louis Spiering Room and a morning of holiday favorites in the concert hall.

Composed of some of the best brass players St. Louis has to offer, the Clarion Brass performs repertoire that spans more than five centuries - from "Greensleeves" and the "Nutcracker Suite" to your favorite Christmas carols, music from Shakespeare's day all the way to the popular songs of today. In addition to numerous concert performances and educational masterclasses, Clarion Brass also performs throughout St. Louis for special occasions and corporate dinner parties. Composed of Mary Weber, trumpet, flugel, and piccolo trumpet; Jason Harris, trumpet and flugel; John Thomas, French horn; Ed Jacobs, trombone and euphonium; Toni Stanley, tuba; and David Hartung, tuba, the Clarion Brass captures the beauty and majesty of brass repertoire.
