St. Louis Musicians for Haiti Raises Over $20,000 for Doctors Without Borders

An all-star line-up of St. Louis musicians, plus dozens of local visual artists, help to raise over $20,000 for Doctors Without Borders' Haitian earthquake relief efforts though the Notes From Home "St. Louis Musicians for Haiti" concert, February 9 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.

Hosted by longtime St. Louis broadcaster Julius Hunter, the event featured soul and R&B singer Brian Owens, folk group Mayor Taylor, the Bottoms Up Blues Gang, jazz pianist Peter Martin, jazz duo Mardra and Reggie Thomas, R&B singer Kim Massie, pianist Peter Henderson and opera singer Christine Brewer.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization working in more than 60 countries to assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe.www.doctorswithoutborders.org.
