New Line Theatre, "the Bad Boy of Musical Theatre," continues its nineteenth season of provocative, adult, alternative musical theatre with the St. Louis premiere of Andrew Lippa's rowdy, raunchy, jazz musical The Wild Party, running April 22-May 15, 2010, and New Line has announced a web video contest in connection with the show.

Videos should promote New Line's production of The Wild Party in a creative way and should include the dates of the run, the Metrotix phone number (314-534-1111), and New Line's website address (www.NewLineTheatre.com). Entries should be 1-5 minutes long. Deadline for entries is April 1, 2010. More detailed information about the show is available on New Line's Wild Party webpage at http://www.NewLineTheatre.com/wildpartypage.html

All entries should be uploaded to the Video section of New Line's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/NewLineTheatre, and each video should be accompanied by the creator's name and either their email address or their Facebook page. All videos will remain on New Line's Facebook page throughout the run. The winner of the contest will be awarded a $100 cash prize, 6 tickets to the show, and a place of honor for their video on the New Line website.

(Please note that there are two musicals called The Wild Party. New Line is producing the version written by Andrew Lippa, which originally ran off Broadway.)

The Wild Party will run April 22-May 15, 2010, at the Washington University South Campus Theatre (formerly CBC High School), 6501 Clayton Road, just east of Big Bend. Tickets are available now through Metrotix, 314-534-1111 or www.Metrotix.com

New Line Theatre is a professional company dedicated to involving the people of the St. Louis region in the exploration and creation of daring, provocative, socially and politically relevant works of musical theatre. New Line receives funding from the Regional Arts Commission, the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation, and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.

New Line's season continues this summer with the political rock opera Evita, July 8-31. For other information, visit New Line Theatre's full-service website at www.NewLineTheatre.com. All programs are subject to change.
